What really sets us apart from other wedding gown services, besides our cleaning expertise, is the method and materials we use in packaging your gown.

Time tested

We will preserve your wedding gown utilizing the same techniques museum conservators use to extend the lifetime of their textiles for 200 years or more. Our hope is to preserve and protect your lovely gown so it can one day become a "historical" – a beloved heirloom – having been worn by generations of brides.

Packaging for the future

Conservators believe textiles should be stored in a breathable, protected environment. Our packaging process utilizes archival materials, providing protective layers which buffer the gown against excessive humidity and environmental contaminants.

About the box

There are two substances which must be critically monitored when making archival paper products – cellulose and lignin. As lignin ages, it degrades, releasing chemicals that cause yellowing/staining, and others which eventually become acids. These acids will severely damage a stored gown. The goal is to remove all the lignin while making the cellulose content as high as possible.

Our Museum Quality archival boxes are made from 100% archival quality paper. They are completely “lignin” free and contain 92% cellulose.

This all makes for superior preservation. So bring your gown to one of our main locations or call us at 206-286-9696 for more info.
